ABOUT US
Founder the Late Bishop William C Oatman Sr.
Co-Founder Overseer Dr Alicia Oatman Gadson
Redeeming Love Christian Fellowship began June 12, 2002, in the basement of the home of the late Bishop and Overseer Oatman as the Lord called them to the carpet, literally. In anticipation of this mandate, ministry plans began, calls were made, and meetings were set for a church with no name. The Lord began to speak these words to Bishop Oatman, "When everything else has failed." Bishop took these words and he began to pray. While in conversation with Co-Pastor Alicia Oatman, the name of the church was birthed, Redeeming Love Christian Fellowship. The basement was beautified into what was called "The Chapel." The first service began at 5 pm with 11 people in attendance and God moved in a mighty way. The first official members were the daughters of Bishop and Co-Pastor, Brittney and Tierra. Later came a family of 4 and in the weeks to come, more new members joined. We outgrew The Chapel and a door opened to have service at Christ Wesleyan Church in Egg Harbor City, NJ. A few months later Redeeming Love's faithful was blessed to rent True Cornerstone Church in Egg Harbor City. Redeeming Love faithfully took care of both properties as if they owned them and in 2006, Redeeming Love purchased the current property, 506 South Pomona Road. It looks nothing like what it first was; it is a diamond in the rough! We have come a long way in FAITH! We are a multi-cultural church family that stands on the Word of God.
Our Beliefs
Our Mission Scripture
2 Corinthians 6:1-10
1 We then, as workers together with him, beseech you also that ye receive not the grace of God in vain.
2 For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succored thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.
3 Giving no offense in anything, that the ministry be not blamed:
4 But in all things approving ourselves as the ministers of God, in much patience, in afflictions, in necessities, in distresses,
5 In stripes, in imprisonments, in tumults, in labors, in watchings, in fastings;
6 By pureness, by knowledge, by long-suffering, by kindness, by the Holy Ghost, by love unfeigned,
7 By the word of truth, by the power of God, by the armor of righteousness on the right hand and on the left,
8 By honor and dishonor, by evil report and good report: as deceivers, and yet true;
9 As unknown, and yet well known; as dying, and, behold, we live; as chastened, and not killed;
10 As sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, and yet possessing all things.
Our Vision:
The Lord has given a vision for this house of worship. The vision is to have a Christ-centered church that will embrace the salvation of Jesus Christ through loving, learning, living, and leaving this world in the beauty of holiness, the complete way of life. Furthermore, to be a body of believers to be bound to the whole body of Christ solely in accordance through biblical and spiritual pretense.
Our Mission:
-
To proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ through the Word.
-
To biblically awaken converts to a new life in Christ.
-
To prepare disciples for local and world ministry and evangelism.
-
To educate the believer in Christian family values.
-
To maintain high standards and integrity in leadership within the ministry.
